A Mystery Guest

29th May saw the continuation of the build which is progressing nicely, without too many major dramas.

Daren came over and said he had a 'friend' who would like to help, so I said of course.  He revealed it was non other than Vinnie who was in the area on business, so of course I said yes.

Car out of the garage and start on the radiator, then we gets the call from Vinnie and head over to pick him up from his hotel.  Back home with 3 of us we made light work of the radiator and associated plumbing (except for a missing nut!).

First little issue was that the 'j' hose was going to foul against the dry sump pulley and being of the silicon type it is more flexible.  Has any one else had this problem.  It was easily resolved with the use of a couple of tie wraps to the cross member on the chassis.

Daren fitted the exhaust and we found out that caterham had not cut the hole for the foremost bracket, will get them to do at the PBC.  The manual clearly states it should come pre cut for standard exhaust system and not for the competition version!

Then the heater went in with a bit of modification and brute force.

The evening finished off by a bottle of vino and a lovely meal cooked for us :-) by Sarah
